Sorry that I don't know which fic you're looking for, but if you want to google it, the illness is spelled "leukemia".

Also, while we're on the topic of spelling, I've noticed that in all of your requests, you tend to use the word "were" when you mean "where". The first is a verb; the second refers to location.
