Anyone worth reading at slashcity.com?

Having become annoyed at bjfic and midnight whispers for different reasons, I'm looking to branch out. Anyone worth reading at slashcity.com? QAF-US only, please.

ETA: well, not exactly what I was asking for, but some interesting comments on alternative archives and places to look for stories.

*g* Tx for your honest answer. I really appreciate it. I only just recently discovered your "Educating Justin" fic and totally fell in love!

Ohhh you're talking about bjfic.net, not bjfic the lj community, yes? That makes me feel better :)

I find so much of the new stuff at MW almost unreadable (bad grammar, bad spelling, bad characterization, and it's so painfully obvious that no one has betaed the story). Most of it is totally OOC, and while I do like reading OOC, I like to KNOW that's what I'm reading and most of the new stuff isn't labeled properly. And I agree about the MPREG. Not my thing, and there's so much of it at MW. And rape stories. Yick.

I've actually found new things to read right here at getithere. Check the memories. You never know when you'll find something you missed along the way!

Hmm, have you read Arwensong over at Moonshadow? She's amazing! What about Big Brian O? Not sure if you're into Brian/Other, but they both have fantastic fics.

I can provide links if you need. Big Brian O also has an original fic ongoing (Vampire!Brian) that is wonderful.

Have you read "Lost and Found" at the Liberty Diner? It's one of my favorite fics (Brian with a brain tumor). Also "Broken Image" (Brian has a stroke). They've both been around for a long time. Besame_bj has some great fics on her site.

What authors do you consider BNF? That might help me make some more suggestions.

Here you go:

http://big-brian-o.livejournal.com/

Start with "Swamp Fever". It's Brian/Other, and it's fantastic! Then there's the sequel "Burn", then an original fic called "Gone", and his latest WIP "Indifference", which is vampire!Brian and is amazing!

Lost and Found can be found here: http://www.thelibertydiner.net/LostandFound1.html
I can't remember the name of the author but it is a great story.

Enjoy!

BJFic - even though I've updated a fic recently 3 times, the chapters don't appear in "most recent"

The same thing happened to me. Also, when I've emailed them with questions, the answers are curt or they take weeks (or even months) to reply. I've stopped posting there, and I rarely check their most recent listing for fics any more. Ugh, I guess I'm still aggravated and needed to vent in your post. Sorry.
