Brian/Melanie Friendship

Hi everybody,

This is a request that I have done before, but I didn't get  a lot of responses than, so I want to try again. I am looking for fics with Brian/Melanie frienship/understanding/respect. That kind of thing. I hope you have some nice links.

Last time someone did recommend the fic Sleeping with the enemy. Love that one!

Try Ding Dong the Witch is Dead (http://jane2005.livejournal.com/70123.html) by jane2005. It's a story about Brian's mother dying, and in the aftermath, Brian discovers that one of the priests in his mother's parish (not Father Tom) has been sexually molesting his nephew John.

It is to Melanie that Brian turns for advice on just what are John's options if he does want to press charges, if he doesn't, if he might want to down the line, etc. Melanie, in the midst of couple's counseling with Lindsay, has realized that most of her hostility toward Brian wasn't because of Brian at all, but due to her insecurity in her relationship with Lindsay. Thus, she keeps the hostility in check--much to Brian's pleasant surprise.
