Making a Scene
I'm looking for a link to chapter 17 of the amazing "Making a Scene" by
![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
I have this link which contains all the chapters but, unless I'm blinder than my optician tells me, I can't see chapter 17.
Also, I was wondering if there are any abused!Brian fics out there. Anything other than child abuse. Characters as much in character as possible please. And, as much as they are a good read, no AUs. Thanks in advance. (:[Bad username or unknown identity: ]

You can always go to my LJ and click on the tag for the story since I tag all my entries.
Happy reading! Glad you're enjoying it.

Why the idea of going to your LJ hadn't crossed my mind, I have no idea.
It's my favourite fic at the moment. Absolutely brilliant story. (:

You can also always check my LJ for updates about delays or posts about when new chapters might appear. I also sometimes post things related to the story such as links that readers might enjoy, although some of those are flocked.
Guess I'd better get busy on the next chapter!

There's at least one that I can think of where Ethan kidnaps Brian and keeps his tied up in this bathtub. Is it AU? To me it is, but I guess you could call it a "canon-friendly what if?" because the characters and setting are the same as we see in the show. Is it IC? Not particularly, but I'm picky, and I'd say 75% of the fic posted isn't IC. This in no way means I don't read a lot of it; it just means we all have different opinions on what's IC or OOC and where our individual boundaries are.
Unfortunately, I have no clue about title or author of the fic I just described. I know it exists, but that's all I know! ;)

It's just the "Brian is a struggling dog trainer living in Iceland" sort of AU that I don't like. Where the depiction of characters, the setting and storyline is so far removed from the series that it's lost it's meaning as a fanfic.
Canon-friendly is probably more accurate, you're right. I've always viewed AU as meaning a story that is outside of Pittsburgh, has several original characters and deviates COMPLETELY from the storylines and pairings in the show.
