Hello :)

I've read some very good stories that deal with Justin being depressed/having an eating disorder/self harm. But I was wondering if there are some where it's Brian that has to deal with any of the problems I mentioned.

I’ve been wracking my brain for days trying to find some anorexic or depressed Brian fics for you.

I think the problem is that since we all realize Brian’s character is already screwed up emotionally and obsessed with his weight and looks, not a lot people bother to write fics around the issue. But here are some where Brian becomes depressed. Couldn’t think of any with anorexic Brian though. (Though that would be a good story.)

Other stories of Brian being depressed would probably be stories where he’s lost Justin for some reason; either after the bashing, or post-season 2 or post-513. I think I saw one once where he's finds out he's HIV positive and disappears, but I don't remember which story it was.

Anyway, here's what I found: “Not Even Home” by Rena. It’s an abandoned WIP. Brian is raped; he falls into depression, pushes Justin away for much of the story, (and darn I wish the story had been finished.) http://www.thelibertydiner.net/notevenhome.html

“Teen Angel” also by Rena. It’s a supernatural AU. This one is finished.

Justin dies, so yes Brian becomes depressed for part of the story. I think he tries to kill himself at one point. But Justin doesn’t’ stay dead. He gets a chance to come back and comes back as Jordan, and Brian falls for him again. http://www.thelibertydiner.net/TeenAngel.html

“Perfection” by Thyme. Brian and Justin haven’t met. Justin is a model facing the end of his career because he’s just turned 25 and Brian had just gone through cancer and been dumped by his boyfriend, so they’re both feeling depressed and worried that they’re less than perfect. http://www.bjfic.net/main/viewstory.php?sid=10437&warning=R
