Midnight Whispers

I've gone through most of the bjfic.net archives which is how I found some great authers like xie and vamphile and eventually ended up over here.  I'm wondering if anyone can recommend some authors at Midnight Whispers.  I like pretty much every kind of scenario but am looking for the really good writers.  Suggestions?

ETA:  Suggestions in the comments.

Just a suggestion: if you're serious about looking for the really good writers, then MW is not the place for you. There are lots of wonderful writers here on LJ. (But if you don't mind a little (or not so little) ooc, then you will have fun at MW.)

A few of my favorites:

You know, this is just my opinion, but I think most of the great authors are here on LJ. Why don't you join [livejournal.com profile] bjfic or [livejournal.com profile] qaf_fiction? You'll find great fics on both comms and it'll lead you to some of the wonderful authors on LJ. You should also read through the archives and tags on this site. ;p

I haven’t read all her stuff, but lately I’ve become a fan of Edom's work. She has several one shots as well as a current ongoing series “A Second Birthday” which is about Justin losing his memory three months after moving in with Ethan.

Also, I would recommend Luv_Sam’s post 5-13 series “Love Will Always Win” and it’s sequel. And several of Moonshadow Woman’s and Sapphire’s stories.

Hi, dear!!!!
I love midnight whisper...as I love BJfic.net, as I adore the authors of livejournal (a special thank to jans_intentions, wouldbedorothy and we dreamerz^^).
As for MW you have to read all the fanfictions of the webmistress, Moonshadow woman....she is very good, and she has written such amazing fanfictions!!!!^____^

For MW I would recommend Gina Marie - Mandagrammy - elyxer - Doppelganger - grover - Niquita_Gia ...mh....and many many others.
Here, there or from another site there are so many good authors!

mao

I myself personally can recommend niquita gia (whose "As if I'd Always Slept" is one of my faves of all time even though I am still waiting on the last chapter to beta) Mandagrammy, Gerri, Grover, Scoobysnacks, Julia, Bedeviled, Saturn, Sapphire, mickiebg, butterflytiger (most but not all of hers are mpreg ) and Elyxer. These are my faves so hoping you enjoy their stories. I beta for a few of them so am prejudiced that way.

Please add netlagd to your list of wonderful authors. Her Commuter and Turbulence stories are real gems, not to mention Educating Justin.
She is on LJ and IJ as well as the BJFic website.

Hi, one of my fave authors is draccone, she has so many great stories, does anyone know if shes still writing? I really hope so

If you like sites with multiple authors, you must check out Moonshadow Tribe. There are good writers on MW who post on their own LJ pages too. I enjoy Moonshadow Woman for her stories, just don't expect a lot of sex. I second all previous recs given to you.

On Moonshadow Tribe check out: Wren, Kris, Thyme, Simon, Margaret.

MW used to have many many more great authors but when it went down we lost most of them but we still have emmakinney and Forever Folked that haven't already been mentioned here.

TBH, MW is not the place to go for quality fanfiction. It's the place to go, if you're looking for OOC, non-beta fiction.

A lot of the really good writers, here on LJ, haven't written since the show ended, but the few that are left were already mentioned. But a lot of people moved over to IJ, a few months back. There have been a bunch of new, amazing stories written by some gifted writers.

Here is a list, created by Xie, of all the links to things on IJ: http://brianjustinlove.com/Fandom.htm

Have you tried Qaf Fanfiction Projects? I don't think it's upodated anymore, but there are some good stories on there. http://www.distorted-reality.org/qafprojects/fiction.html

One P.S. on my last comment. While there are some good things on Qaf Fanfiction Projects, I would suggest stay away from Starema. I read some of her stuff before I knew better, and it is, in my opinion, not really readable...almost two years later, I'm still trying to get over it.

[identity profile] ragejt.livejournal.com 2009-03-27 11:33 pm (UTC)(link)
Hey, I love Starema. *pouts* you're mean

I’m not entirely sure I would agree that Midnight Whispers is the cesspool of OCC bad!fic it has been made out to be here. I may be biased as a Midnight Whispers veteran, but I think there are a few very good writers left there (if you can find them). I'd suggest checking out the ‘top ten’ lists. They’re generally a good way of separating the wheat from the chaff :) That said, I think I agree that the quality of writing is better on LJ overall- but I wouldn't write MW off entirely ;)
