I remember a fic where Brian was making an ad that compared committed gay couples with married straight couples, he was going to use Michael and Ben but decided they hadn't been together long enough. In the end the couple he used had ben together over 50 years. It may have been during the Stockwell fiasco but I'm not to sure about that.
