I've just browsed two hundred and sixteen fics that I bookmarked and didn't recognize the name of, to no avail.

So finally I thought I would bring my search here.

The fic I'm looking for is a death-fic (Justin) told from an unusual perspective, I think. A woman who's role in the story was questionable at best, staying in the same mental health facility as Brian. It's never clear what she's doing there, though all signs point to her being a patient as well. Essentially, Brian lost it after Justin died because of the bashing and was sent to this place to live.

It is also implied that everything that happened on the show post-1:22 was a fantasy of Brian's, who is lost in his own mind. At one point, he turns to the woman and says something to the effect of, 'You have to go to LA', I think. And she replies as Justin to soothe him.

It's a one-shot, and ends with her going to sleep in the same room as him I believe.

ETA: Found the fic on my own, I'll absoultely delete this post if anyone else thinks it's as silly as I do. :3 Not the fic, though! Great fic.

The fic I'm thinking of the woman is actually a nurse at that facility. She describes all the friends that comes to see him and gets into a friendly banter with a male co-worker about her crush on Brian. Is it the same one?

I can't for the life of me remember what it's called - and on top of that, I'm at work with no chance to check my bookmarks - but maybe somebody else recognize the nurse-part, if it is indeed the same.

The one I read, though, was exactly like that except in the comments (and I read the comments, because I'm a nosy freak) someone said something like, 'I love how you never say exactly what she's doing there' and the author responded, 'I'm glad someone picked up on that', I think?

It's really messing with me, because I looked up every fic that I read in my 'death is a super neat read' phase and still no fic. D:

I know I read it recently. I have had a run through of the qaf challenges fics and some over at queer eyes.... I wonder if it was there? Check out the memories over at qaf_challenges for the Hurt/Comfort challenge, maybe it was there? I'm gonna check with vlredreign, she's a marvel in remembering fics. ;)
