Uh, greetings. Apparently I am somewhat of an asshat, and I've gotten it in my head (heart?) that 510 AU's where Justin dies are the coolest thing since sliced bread. I deeply desire wishing-for-what-could-have-been!Brian.

Help a sister fellow out? :D

ETA: Links in comments to the death. Of course, now I've realized I'm one of those weepy people, so living in a hole is starting to sound nice.

Congratulations on working out :)

Alas, the sad often calls me too. I usually don't answer it though. I don't know of any post-510 Justin dies fics. Of course I don't really read death!fics on a regular basis.

I'd say good luck but Justin death!fics make my heart hurt :(

Me too. These type of posts will one day make me leave this group. Reading that someone gets off on Justin dying is not how I want to start my day.

A lot of us are serious about Brian and Justin. Your post was enough to make me quit the group. People who are interested reading about Justin's death are not worth associating with.

And here I thought this was a group dedicated to acceptance of alternative and open ways of thinking. I guess this fandom is as closed minded as the rest.

No problem, I like a good death!fic here and there, the NaNo one made me feel all tingly and sad like. I realllly like death fics when one dies and the last one is a line where the other follows, it is just so perfect.

Gotta ask, what is the situation around your icon?

...Are you serious? Seriously serious? (and not about B/J, ha, but this post...) I don't see what the problem is. I doubt anyone here is getting off on Justin dying. Death is a very big and very emotional part of life (duh) - it's cathartic and a welcome *emotional* release, at times, to experience it through characters that we love. And sometimes a good deathfic is just what I need - it nearly kills me to see the character go...but that's kind of the point.

If *she* weren't "serious" about Brian and Justin, I doubt Justin deathfics would hold any interest. You cry over someone you care about.

And sometimes you need a good cry.

PS - bookgirl, I think you've handled this thread amazingly. Sorry, my pockets are empty in the way of deathfics, but if I ever find any worth phoning home about, I'll let you know.

Erm, yes, you would be bookgirl. Apparently my page scrolling ability leaves something to be desired. :P

I don't think you came off as an ass - at least not to people who didn't have their heads stuck up their own to begin with. You gave much more respectful answers to comments than I would have, that's for sure. Death might not be everyone's cuppa, but such is life. I mean, I don't like feet. That doesn't make me a good or bad person. It makes me a person who doesn't like feet.

Not sure the time period on these, but they're all well-written Justin death fics. Enjoy!

You're welcome! If you look in my memories - Haunted is listed all by itself as 'my favorite death fic ever' or some such nonsense. :) But it is!

I have an unhealthy obsession with death!fics. There just aren't enough out there and most people avoid them like the plague so they're hard to find. These aren't 510 death!fics, but they're other death!fics that have made me cry. Enjoy! Cry your heart out!

I have to add this one even though it's not a death!fic (it gets close a couple times, but it's NOT actually a death!fic) in case you haven't read it yet. It is like the mother of all hurt/comfort fics. It's pretty long, but sooooooooo worth it. It's split into 4 parts narrated first by Ethan, then by Michael, then by Brian, then finally by Justin. Surprisingly, I almost like the first two parts best... but really the whole thing is just so fucking good you have to read it.

I keep those stories in my memories under the keyword "makes me cry" and I pull them out when I need to feel the pain.

Yes, NOTdeath!fic does have a happy ending... but have you been reading "Painting Lessons" by [livejournal.com profile] jans_intentions? It's all about Brian having severe brain damage. It's still a WIP, but it's another amazing hurt/comfort fic. I usually avoid WIPs, but that one has sucked me in.

My strange little heart thumped away at the idea of a fic with severe brain damage that was so about 'the love'. It sucked me in like a hoover. ..... I agree 100%

I haven't tried "Noir" either, but after "Painting Lessons" and "Apple" are done I might give it a chance. If it's like the rest of her stuff it's probably going to be good. Her fics are all sort of out there, but they are seriously so full of teh love it's incredible. And despite the completely random circumstances/places/setting/backstories she's still able to keep Brian and Justin in character somehow.

Oh! I love Jans stuff!

You really should read Noir though. Justin isn't really a hustler in it... it's hard to explain really. You just have to trust me.

Jan is amazing! She builds worlds I can't get enough of her stuff. And she's at her absolute best in Noir in my opinion! Go Read!

Oh she's truly amazing! The way she manages to flesh out the stories with a mythology of its own and every little aspect of the world she writes about so you'll feel like you're standing in the middle of it. Her brain is a most exciting place to visit.

Well.... Justin is sort of...well... eh... I CAN'T REALLY EXPLAIN without giving out spoilers! Let's just say that in the world of Noir there are more like him that originally was meant to please....
And Noir!Brian is more battered and bruised with more scar tissue and walls up than ever....

Justin's strong and he's brave and he's... Oh for the love of Liberty Avenue! Just go read will ya! *LOL*
