Hi

I'm sure I'm not the only one here who loves

[personal profile] gaedhal So I hope somene can tell me if Patrick's Way was ever finished? or if there is a sequel? Patrick's Way is part of the Nowhere Man series and the last I read of it is Part 7 where Justin gets offered a role on West Hollywood with Brian. Please tell me something goes next cos I love that series. :-)

Update: Unfortunately, Patrick's Way is still unfinished and is likely to remain so. Links in comments.

Where can I find Patrick's Way? I thought I had read all of Gaedhal's fiction including the whole Nowhere Man series, both in and out of Queer Theories. I don't remember Patrick's Way. Please help me find this link.
Thanks.

Patrick's Way

Gaedhal posted this right before she started Patrick's Way. There are links to all the preceding stories in that stream.

There was a discussion on her livejournal regarding Patrick's Way. If I recall correctly, she said that there wasn't much fan interest in that stream, so she would be writing in the other streams and not continuing with Patrick's Way...at least for now.

You should really start with Queer Theories etc. before you read anything else by her. It sort of explains the stream concept. Then you can read all the other stories in no particular order. It takes awhile but it's so worth it, since it will put the characters in context. This is just my opinion though. Have fun!

I agree with Anna Katarina, Queer Theories is the main story line and should be read first. It's going to take you a while, but it's so worth it. 122 chapters.

Here is a link to Gaedhal's website. The first chapter of Queer Theories, Lasagna, is on this page.

Nowhere Man starts with chapter two of Queer Theories, Red Shirt, and then takes off in a different direction.

"Nowhere Man" can be read as an AU of "QAF" standing alone,
or it can be read as intended, as a story within "Queer
Theories." It makes sense (?) both ways. But it was definitely
intended to be part of "QT" and read in it's place in the
narrative (during the second trip to England).

That's correct. I was putting a lot of research and time into
setting up "Patrick's Way" to take over as my main Stream after
I finished "Queer Realities." However, the interest just wasn't
there. "Patrick's Way" just never caught on, except with a few
devoted readers. The majority wanted more of "QR" (continued in
"Queer Identities") or they wanted more "Medium Security."

In a way, you can read "Patrick's Way" as "ending" at a logical
place -- an open-ended finish, but then what isn't?
