The fic I've been searching for (thought it was one I saved either to my old PDA or my old computer or my laptop or my Kindle, but no luck) via google and other searches with no luck.

***** Found at lightspeed!

The first is post series. Brian and Justin weren't really broken up. Justin was living in NYC because that was where the opportunities were for him as an artist. Brian was still in Pitts with Kinnetick. They were making time to meet on long weekends kind of thing. I think most of the time Brian was flying to NYC. Anyway Justin had come back to Pitts and for some reason Brian had taken him to Britin. Despite their mutual decision for Justin to go for his dream in NYC, Brian had not sold the property. When he took Justin there there was only rental? furniture in the master suite... I think. Brian really wanted Justin and him to be together even if he had trouble expressing his feelings. He is also exhausted - working lots of hours, meeting the demands of Lindsay/Mel in regards to Gus, the demands of the gang for his time and of course money. For some reason Brian left Justin at Britin at one point with his credit card and told him to furnish it? I think that Jennifer came over to help and I think Justin jokingly compared his time at Britin without a vehicle to bring held hostage. I think the rest of the gang is completely oblivious to the true state of the relationship between Brian and Justin most especially Michael, Lindsay and Mel. Does this ring any bells?

The second story is I think post series as well. Brian and Justin decide to purchase a place together and end up in a co-op that was a former school building. At some point something happens between Mel and Lindsay. Mel is pregnant and she ends up moving temporarily in with Brian and Justin and Gus is there as well. After the baby is born, Mel buys another condo in the same co-op for her and the baby. Sound familiar to anyone?
