Hey  guys,

I am looking for an Emmett/Drew video that was/is on Youtube. It had the song "This is how you remind me" from Nickelback playing in the background.

Suggestions for Emmett fics are also very welcome(already looked through the ones in the memories.) I have a slight preference for Emmett/Drew or Emmett/Ben, but other pairings are fine too.

Hey folks,

Does anyone have a functional way to contact the author E (a.k.a. Erin or [livejournal.com profile] qaf_pit or [livejournal.com profile] oty_erin of On to You?
The one she had at her site (tercera21@hotmail.com) bounces as undeliverable.

Barring that, does anyone:

-- know if her story "Just a Phase" was ever finished? I only found through chapter 4.
If so, could you point me to where I can find the rest of it?

-- know if her story "Picture Perfect" was ever finished? I only found through chapter 6.
If so, could you point me to where I can find the rest of it?

-- know where I can find her 304 fantasy ficlet "Just Fucking"? The only links I've found to it are broken.

-- know where I can find her "Rococonut Variations in E minor"?

And yes, I've searched pretty thoroughly for these including extensive googling, and trying those links via archive.org, to no avail.

Thanks.

Okay, so normally I wouldn't post this here, but it is basically a public service announcement.

There have been several posts recently regarding Geocities shutting down and basically "grab it while you can" regarding sites hosted there.

To some extent you can use the Way Back Machine to grab old postings.

But this tool called "Read It Later" has the advantage of collecting what is in your tab, or window and adding it to a reading list.

It integrates with standard book marking tools such as del.icio.us, digg, stumbleupon, etc or the bookmark feature in Firefox itself.

Better yet, it has a feature where you can read what ever you have tagged with Read It Later off line.

Yes, finally for all of you out there who want to your fic at the places that there is no internet connection, you can take it with you.

This also will allow you to save fic to pdf (print to pdf) or word processing format (select all, cut and paste) at a later date for those things you absolutely must save to your harddrive.

To get this add on, first of all you need to be using Firefox - it can be downloaded from: http://mozilla.org

Once Firefox is installed, use the drop down menu for Bookmarks and click through on the link:
+ Get Bookmark Add-ons

Scroll down the list of add-ons about 3/4 of the way.
Click through on the link for:
Read It Later by Idea Shower

Once you add it to Firefox, there is a link to a two minute demonstration of how to use the add-on.
It's worth watching, but is probably PC, because I had to do a little fiddling around to get it to work on my mac.

You can set it up to save everything you tag with Read It Later to be available to be read off line.

You do need to toggle the Work Offline switch to read what you have saved to read off line. It's off of the File pull down menu.

The thing that it touts is that it stops the clutter in your bookmarks for those items that you don't want to bookmark permanently - one off reads - blogs, news articles, etc.

But for me, it is worth it to troll the Geocities websites and capture all the fic I'm interested in without having to do it at this exact moment in time.

Good luck, I hope others here find it as useful as I do.
