If that's the same one I'm thinking of, it's Mikey who gets killed in the accident that Ethan caused. But Brian thinks Justin's at fault and in his grief over losing his boyfriend Brian initially makes Justin's life hell. Yes Brian and Michael were together before the accident. I'm not sure when the accident itself happens tho. I haven't read it yet, I just know the summary. I just don't remember the name of the story or the author, I'm sorry.
