I'm looking for a story where Justin is living in NY Brian thinks everything is hunky Dory. Daphne shows Brian Justin's paintings and they are awful.

I don't know if this is what you are looking for but the scene with Daphne showing Brian Justin's paintings which are terrible reminds me of Interference by edom http://www.midnightwhispers.ca/viewstory.php?sid=1062 but in that story Justin is back in Pittsburgh.

It's unfortunately unfinished story.
