Petition - Queer as Folk movie!

Sorry mods, if this isn't allowed here...

Scott Lowell is asking for help! Check out his Facebook post here: https://www.facebook.com/pages/Scott-Lowell/339055209457239

So, I'm confused. Why does FB tell me that my post about the online petition for more QAF has reached almost 11,500 people (as of 7/2) and yet only 905 have signed the petition? Is FB wrong or are people just not signing? Does the petition not "Work" in all countries? Or is something else preventing people from signing? "Veronica Mars" had over 90,00 backers of their project giving actual money. This is just asking for a "show of hands". I am so very VERY thankful for all who have already signed ... but where are all the thousands of QAF fans who supposedly want to see more? How do we reach them? If this online petition form isn't a good one, is there a better format somewhere? Send a message if you have suggestions. I'd like to get a real feel for how many fans ACTUALLY would want to see more QAF. It's the #1 question any prospective producer is going to want to know: How many will watch? Thanks!!!

And go sign the petition here: http://www.thepetitionsite.com/641/774/746/bring-back-queer-as-folk-to-celebrat-pa-gay-marriage/?taf_id=11199794&cid=fb_na

Spread the word!

Same here. I love QAF with all my heart, but I'm afraid it's impossible to make a good movie which many people will like. Years have passed, all of us have built our own version of life post 513, so the majority will be disappointed anyway. The most important reason, however, is that I just can't imagine what else can be said in QAF. They touched all the topics, they told us everything about everyone, what else is there to mention? Yes, I'd love to see Brian and Justin happily living together, Debbie and Carl, Michael and Ben marrying, but it's just not enough to make a movie about. Probably producers might pleasantly surprise us, but I'm afraid it's almost unreal.

I feel that, due to all of the progression that LGBTQ civil rights have made, it could end up being good. We can see how they have grown and changed over the years and it seems to have been long enough in order for them to have changes in opinions. I think that the Brian/Justin storyline would be the heart of the story Maybe they could have more of Gus, since he would be 14 now so it could cover him discovering himself and his parents' past as well. Maybe a miniseries might be more efficient if they want to be more thorough and make it be less rushed.
