Is anyone else having a problem trying to access FanFiction.net? I had been in but tried to go from one episode to another in a chaptered story. I was unable to do so.
Please help, Thanks
Ellen :(

Seems to be back up for me also -- this is off topic but... Can anyone tell me why u can't c+p on FF.net? Here's a quick one-shot from Kim, "No More Hustler" By Predec2 there at: https://www.fanfiction.net/s/9779978/1/No-More-Hustler
I can highlight anything & everything on the page, including the summary & info (words, chapters, date published etc.) but not any of the actual text itself??

I noticed that a few weeks back. It's very irritating.

They also did away with the "view story" option. Seems like other archives are adding features like e-reader download formats and pdfs, but this site is dialing back any options to save a fic. I wrote to their help desk, but never got a response.

If you're using Firefox, click View > Page Style > No Page Style. It turns all the header stuff to plain text, but once you get down to the fic, you will be able to copy and paste. I don't know what the equivalent would be in IE or Safari or Chrome, though.

I'm on an older mac laptop w/ older version of Safari & can't figure out how to do that. I can however click View > View Source & c+p any or all of it from there but it will contain all of the html instructions which i still need to find a way to convert (I'm a total novice at this stuff). I can paste the html in as a journal entry here (starting after the 'nocopy' html instruction b4 the text) where, after posting, it will come out looking just like the original FF page (style-wise) but now c+p able. Then delete that journal entry afterwards. Not very practicable...but it does work!

ETA 5 months later: There's a new tip from [livejournal.com profile] halliwell66 which DOES make c+p on ff.net work. ✓ it out at: http://getithere.livejournal.com/2109845.html?thread=14989205#t14989205
