Brian telling Justin that he’s his best friend (or vice versa)

 Hey guys!  First time posting here :)

I’m not usually much for cheese, but I’m a true believer that Brian and Justin are soul mates – and that means in every aspect. If you guys have read any fics where Justin and Brian are in an established relationship and there’s a moment where Brian tells Justin that he’s his best friend (or vice versa) I’d love to give it a read!

I guess it’s kind of anti-Mikey in a way (or maybe even anti-Daph) but if the quote “love is friendship set on fire” means anything, Brian and Justin are allowed to be best friends and soul mates at the same time :)

p.s I have had a craving for this ever since reading a scene from Suzvoy’s Things I Cannot Change ("Look," Brian warned, "all I know is that you're my best fucking friend and I keep fucking you. Which goes against pretty much everything I've ever believed in. Don't push it.")

Hi, I am rec'n you my most favorite of the stories I've written. You should find it in good character.
It is called, "Endeavor" and being that I wrote it, you would think I would be able to recall if the EXACT line you mention is mentioned by Justin or Brian themselves, but I cannot. I do know that they do become best friends before they become more and there is a conversation about this 'best friend' friendship.

I completely agree with your quote, in fact I used it in a journal header of mine not too long ago. It is not anti-anyone I think it is natural for true love. (lol I will admit to that cheese love)

Oh, it just made me think of something. In either XIE's post-series big huge series or vamphile's big huge post series fic, there is a moment where Brian says Justin is his best friend because Mikey has Ben as his.
If no one else finds it sooner, I will look after I work tomorrow/today.

thanks so much for your rec! Actually, I've been meaning to read that fic of yours since the name's been floating everywhere, a best friend conversation would definitely be a bonus :)

as for the big-huge series - I've read the Only Time series and I might recall something similar to what I'm describing - but it's so huge and I read it entirely to fast so now I can't remember. Thanks so much for your help, I really appreciate it!
