Hi! I'm looking for "The Prince and the Privateer" by Moonshadow Woman/Elsa Rose. I looked at the tags and the link doesn't work and tried to go through the downloads and didn't see it so if you have a working link or could e-mail it to me I'd appreciate it. Thanks!

Right, well she didn't mention she'd seen that so I figured that link may say it all. Or does it. I don't know but I'm guessing she doesn't want it to be shared.
Not that I'm a big fan of the whole posting a fanfic and then changing the names and making it an 'orignal' m/m fic people pay for. I won't lie and say I don't first imagine my original fic as B/J but I respect my original characters and Brian and Justin enough to give them stories all their own and no matter how influenced I may be by qaffic within my original stories if I don't deem the characters worthy of their own story, how can I truly expect anyone else to do so.
Brian and Justin may be sickeningly OOC in some of my fics, but I could never replace them in any manner and it just makes me sad when I see this in qaffic. Hell, it pisses me off because after twelve years, they're still not replaceable to me, they never have been and I don't think they ever will be. Likely I'll be writing fanfic for myself long after the last online fangirl has moved on.
Sorry for the tangent here, it's just a major issue I have within my love for qaffic, whether I like the fic or not I don't like to see this done to it, then again, was it ever really qaffic if the author can so easily replace the main characters?

I'm so with you on this one. I find it a total lack of disrespect towards both your readers and the fandom as a whole to do this. I will never support an author who does this.

The note about Amazon is true. She turned many of her older fan fics into original works and published them as separate books. "The Prince and the Privateer" is available on Amazon under the author, E.R.Bryant.

I won't have my computer long. My kid crashed his and mine is his backup. I have the original story of Shades of Grey when it was fanfiction (Master of the Universe?). I still have not been able to read it. I'm not a writer, so I can't judge her, but she is making soooooo much money an reaching so many with her story.

I also have The Prince and the Privateer (I have my ways). I don't know if it is okay to tell you how to access it. I only know I was curious and so I did some digging. Good Luck.

I would highly caution you against downloading or distributing without permission from Elsa Rose - AKA Moonshadow Woman.

Geesh, I sounded so smug. Again I have to rush, but thank you Netlegd. I wasn't sure if I could mention that. I do find old fics there, and there is also the bjfic files and the wayback machine. I just can't remember where I found the story intact. I may have searched the web. I'm not really a pro at it. My kid actualy helps me find stuff.

I posted a link for the Prince and the Privateer sometime back in 2011. I think it is too far back for searchers to find anymore. I couldn't find it either. It has been downloaded a lot. All the fics I've uploaded for this group over the last few years can be found in the folder link below. Including Prince and the Privateer. The sendspace account will be around for a long time. As I get around to it I'm using it to back up my favorite fics.
