Looking for long multi-chaptered non-angsty fics.

I know some people will cringe about this request, but I just found a long multi-chaptered fic called "Fireside Chats" by Dale. It will take me all year but, I'm already reading "The Sunshine FIles" and "The Gus Diaries" and have added this to the list. The angst is minimal and usually everyone gets along. These are great to listen to on my e-reader while driving or having to clean the house.  I don't mind that the characters are OOC and in "Fireside Chats",  "honey" and "baby" are used as terms of endearment.  I was wondering if there any more stories out there like these.

UPDATE: I want to thank everyone for their help. I compiled a list of the stories found. See comments.

Hi, I've read & re-read those files also. Wren's series in Moonshadow Tribe are similar. They have, as in real life, a small amount of angst, but don't let that stop you from reading them because you will miss out on good writing.

Did you check the 'novel length' tag? Also, I'm sure we have an OOC tag. At least, in the Memories there was a section for that.

[identity profile] wouldbedorothy.livejournal.com 2013-02-02 06:13 pm (UTC)(link)
I thought you were pretty clear you wanted fluffy :)

Besides the "novel length" and "ooc" tags, we also have "fluff," "schmoop," and "happy fic." I'm not sure how much overlap there is (most of the really long fics ARE quite angsty), but it could be worth a look.

I wrote a super long one on Midnight Whispers...and it has a long sequel too.... it had a lot of reviews, but accidently got deleted so I reposted the whole thing at once (just wanted to give you the heads up when you realize it only has 6 reviews).

I wrote a long B/J story years ago called Before There Was You, There Was You. 72 chapters. You can find it here if you are interested.

If you like it, there are sequels.

yes it was angsty, but also filled with love and a happy ending I'm a sucker for happy endings!

A few people have asked me if I'm going to write a sequel to BO I'd like to but I have to find a plot that will work for them and I'm not 'feeling' it right now. Now THAT story was angsty~! lol

I'm glad you enjoyed it!

Thank you!

I have another completed, lengthy, multi-chapter/multi-fic series if you would like to know about that one. It begins with The Ends Justify the Means.

Let me ask a stupid question, how can you LISTEN to these particular stories on your ereader? Are these stories you speak of in spoken word or is there something in your reader that can turn written word into spoken. I have a kindle downloaded in a few devices and loved to know. Thank you.

Thank you so much for clearing this up. I didn't know of this.

If anyone's interested in having their pc/laptop read to them --

I'm an artist, working 99 hours a day, so also usually have to 'listen' instead of read. I don't have a Kindle or other electronic reader, so let my PC do the work with Natural Reader software. They have a FREE version; just the thing for starving -- I mean 'striving' -- artists addicted to fanfic! ;-)

That makes sense. I'm a digital artist, so am usually sitting at the PC while working and listening. Luckily, no one else is ever in my workspace.

The link might be useful for some other fan(fic)atics. ;-)

Check out Paeonsong (I think that's how she spells it. You can find her super long post 5-13 series at midnight whispers. I think it starts with Sparring Partners then Superheroes then Talisman of Time, Between Now and Then, And So Moving Forward... I think that's the order, but the stories tell you, so just check out her MW page. I really liked them bc they are light-hearted and fun.

Where can I find "Fireside Chats" by Dale? That's one I haven't read.

Thank you so much. It's very cold where I live so a good, long story is appreciated in place of going outside.

Hey, can you update your post to say you got a bunch of recs, which you compiled into an awesome list in the comments?
