Mod post - NEW COMM RULE!

Hello, lovelies!

A recent incident with comments coming up screened made your mods realize that we needed a new rule (one we actually thought we had already). I've added it to the profile page, and it reads as follows:

Do not post from your own journal; come to GIH and post DIRECTLY to the comm. We ask this because posting from your own LJ means you are posting using your own settings, and can therefore cause issues such as locked posts, screened comments, weird fonts/colors, etc., which we then either have to fix or ask you to fix. Let's save us all some time, 'kay?

Don't worry, we're not going to kick ya out if you forget, or even yell lol. We do realize many of you may be used to posting from your LJ, but please make your best effort to remember the new rule. After all, why wouldn't you want to come here? ;)

opps, sorry =) I assumed it was done by the posters (my previous experience on search comms being snarryficfind and criminalminds where we tag them ourselves) then I bid you good luck =)

I realized that we were one of the only comms that tags our own posts. I belong to SFF also, and while it's convenient to tag your own posts, sometimes I get confused over there.

I'm used to it from modding comms. It's just not my default, you know? On the occasions where I've posted there (looking for one of Eriador's fics, I think), I looked at the tag list and thought, oh god...which one do I choose!?
