Have you checked out ALY's GIH 4-shared Mirror? It's on the right-hand side here. I have tons downloaded onto mine. Most are in PDF, but you can just save the word docs into a PDF as well.
I also copy many from MW, Moonshadow and Across the Pond into Word and save as a PDF and put them down that way as well.

No prob. what I do is on MW and ATP, there is a pic of a printer. Press that and a second page comes up with the full story. Then copy and paste into a word doc, then save as a PDF. Beats savingeach page that's for sure!!
I don't have a Kindle, but I save it to a thumbdrive adn can use it anywhere. Saves space on devices.

I don't think u can put Pdf on kindle can u? I use calibre to convert to mobi format so just wondering if this is an unneeded step for Pdf files. I just got a regular kindle fire for Xmas.
Totally second Ally's site and for other more recent fics check archive of our own u can do in any format from a whole completed story directlty to kindle.

yes, you can put pdf on a kindle but it's inconvenient to read (to put it friendly). I use calibre as well to convert stuff and to upload (or delete).

rtf files are the best way. With calibre you can convert them to the kindle format (mobi) easily and fast.

If you e-mail a Word document to your Kindle account (Fire or regular Kindle), it works fine and you end up with a converted doc that looks just like your other books. Must be Word, though, not PDF. Every Kindle owner has an Amazon e-mail, so it's very easy to do.

You should try AO3 too!

They have PDF downloads of all their stories as well as other formats. I have become ADDICTED to that site. I go there for all of my fandoms. I'm guessing by your icon you like J2? IF so they have a TON of J2, SPN-RPS, and SPN stories also.

You can find the QaF stories HERE (http://archiveofourown.org/tags/Queer%20as%20Folk%20%28US%29/works?page=1)

Not true. I have a 2nd Gen Kindle, and it reads PDFs fine. The reason I use Calibre to convert them is because sometimes the font size changer doesn't work without having to switch the viewer on my Kindle to the sideview. So I use Calibre to change the font size as well as convert. But it does read PDFs. Could be the one you're trying to read has been corrupted or encoded and Kindle won't recognize it. I've had that happen.
