Justin finds out Michael stole his share of money from Rage

Are there any fics where Justin has already left Ethan but is not yet back with Brian when he finds out that Michael stole most of his share of the money from Rage? It would be interesting to see how he would handle the situation without being involved with Brian.

I checked the tab: michael steals j's rage money, and I have read both of the fics mentioned there.

ETA: Still searching. Just an FYI... I'm not looking for Experiment by Wren, A Time of Adversity by Julesmonster, or A Family Divided by Edom (which is a WIP). I have read all of those and in fact they are what caused my search. ;) And BTW each one of those is an excellent read.

Well, there's an excellent fic that touches on your points by wren-kt7oz called, Experiment." The only difference is that it's set in late season 3, so B&J are together. But it's excellent. I highly recommend it!

Actually it was Experiment along with A Time of Adversity by Julesmonster that sort of inspired my search for one where Justin isn't with Brian.

Something similar happens in Edom's sequel to the Dare (http://www.midnightwhispers.ca/viewstory.php?sid=633&warning=3). The sequel, Family Divided, is a WIP. Edom's has been away from it for awhile, sadly, but she just update another QAF fic not too long ago so maybe there is hope. Either way it's an enjoyable read.

I remember that one, but I think Justin and Brian are already back together when they discover the theft. Thanks for the reminder. Hopefully Edom will be able to finish it. I really enjoyed The Dare, too. I will have to reread both of those. ;)

I thought Michael stole tons of money that belonged to Justin, went to Prison and became this "HUGE black dudes" 'woman'. I have been looking for it... I wasn't sure what kind of story it was, as there was no forewarning, because I don't normally read rape stories. But, all the guys had their turn, then the black guy made him his. Maybe it will trigger something for you...

Yep! I never finished it, but just to give away one more little tidbit, (but, I'd hate to ruin it for you), Mr HUGE was 13" long, and 7" around, if my memory serves me correct.

Ha! I know what you mean. There really isn't too many ways you can write this scenario. Debv3 reminded me of 1 more which is Edom's fic A Family Divided. But in all of these fics Justin is back with Brian so I wondered if there were any where he was on his own.

I might post it as a plot bunny at promptmesomeqaf. The last few I posted over there have been a bit... weird. This would be a nice change for me. ;)

The name of the story is "a time of adversity" by Julesmonster over on fanfiction.net. It's starts right after Brian loses his job over the Stockwell thing. He's doing the bills when he asks Justin about his income for Rage and from talking to Justin he realizes that Michael was not paying Justin the full amount.

Thanks, but that's not what I'm looking for. I have read that one as well as Wren's Experiment and Edom's WIP A Family Divided. In those fics Brian and Justin are together when the discovery of Michael's theft happens. I'm looking for any fics where Justin is actually not with either Ethan or Brian. I'm not looking for one particular fic, just any fics where Justin isn't with Brian (or Ethan) when he discovers that Michael isn't giving him all of his share from Rage.

In Wren's fic 'Experiment' Mel walks into the comic book store and overhears Brian and Michael arguing over Michael keeping Justin's share of the money from Rage. Then Justin finds out Michael used the money to make payments on Deb's mortgage. Is that the one?
