Brian's Gross Sandwich

Okay, I know that this is silly but can anyone think of any fics where the infamous avocado, tuna, peanut butter and tabasco sandwich from hell is featured? Or maybe a fic where Brian is caught eating some other weird combination of food?

If you don't know what sandwich I'm talking about please refer to Fuck Yeah QAF's sandwich play by play, which is possibly my favorite blog post of all time.

Thanks!

I just had to say THANK YOU for mentioning this blog post! I've never seen it before and it was beyond funny. I remember that scene well, but I realized that I've never paid attention to the ingredients before. This epic sandwich rivals those of Dr. Reid Oliver from ATWT. I am definitely going to have to remember it and use it in one of my fics someday.

Thank you again and sorry I couldn't give an actual answer to your question.

Cheers,
Vin

There is another scene that is at the diner, where Brian, Ted, Emmet and Michael are eating lunch and instead of a sandwich or whatever Brian is eating this huge piece of cake with sides of whip cream and berries.

Oddly enough, I was just thinking about that sandwich the other day. D: However, I can't seem to recall fic off the top of my head, but now I'm curious as hell about it.

I think there was a discussion before about how Brian bitched the most about carbs, etc and yet you caught more times of him eating tons of junk vs. Justin's supposed 'bottomless pit' of a stomach. :)

Is that the sandwich he was eating at Emmett's that kept falling onto the sofa?

If so...I have officially seen it all.

peanut butter, avocado, tuna, and tabasco sandwich

I'm sure that in Cowlip-land, this is as standard as grilled cheese.

Oh thank god, I really thought I had halucinated when I watched that scene when Jeniffer comes and asks Brian to 'touch...(ahem)' Justin and he goes all 'you want me to fuck him?' and there he is fondling an avocado from the fridge, some bread (toast?) and has tabasco on the table and PB...and I am just going 'HE'S PREGNANT! HE IS!!!'

Okay, maybe 'Cowlick' wanted to show how even though Brian appeared all nonchallance he was a mess inside and therfore had an appetate of an alien ameba with the taste buds of a 5 year old crack addict.

I think there is a fic with this wonderful 'wtf' sandwich and I think it was written by one of the fandom's greatests...but can't remember which...maybe Suzvoy? dunno...

I love how we all have him pegged as this healthy-eating person and then he goes and does stuff like this. <3

WTF Sandwich

I watched that episode not too long ago and have seen it multiple times. The bread, peanut butter, and advacado where the only things that have ever registered in my brain before and that is weird enough for a sandwich. But watching the blog post was hysterical and truly elevated the WTF factor. Healthy eating - HAH!. Personally I think the bottle is too large for Tabasco sauce, although I guess it does come in big bottles, I just usually see it smaller bottles. I'm going for Franks Red Hot Sauce or the equivelant and it doesn't really matter because it's all gross with the other alleged ingrediants. Too bad the scene didn't play out where Gale had to actually eat what he made.

I'm going with the commenter who suggested that Gale was randomly grabbing stuff. BTW that was awful lot of stuff in Brian Kinney's refrigerator besides the customary beer and poppers and Justin wasn't living with him yet.

There was a fic, can't remember the name, author or where I read it, that had Brian secretly eating chocolate by dipping it in the peanut butter jar. Justin reminds him that Reeses makes that combination but Brian has some reason or other why he likes (probably wants luxary chocolate or something) making his own version.

This is going to sound kinda crazy, but I will take one for the team & recreate the WTF QAF Sandwich (aka The Brian Kinney) and... take a big old bite. I will provide photo/possibly video evidence. Since I loath most of the ingredients (save avocado & bread) this will be a sacrifice (of sanity & stomach lining) on my part... but, anything for the fandom! Lol. We shall see how it turns out...*queue ominous music*

I remember both B/J fixing at different times, a peanut butter and banana sandwich. Don't recall the avocado, etc. The PB/B is a standard guy sandwich, but we're talking about Brian here, so the more exotic, the better.

This post made me write a very short and ridiculous Gale/Randy fic about it.

Brian and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Sandwich: a Gale/Randy Dialogue Drabble Mystery! (http://wouldbedorothy.livejournal.com/87978.html)

(very short but with very long title, lol)

I WISH someone had asked just what the hell was going on with this sandwich at the recent con! I wonder if any of the other actors know what the deal was...

Because Brian was so weight conscious and always working out and in the early seasons spouted the "no carbs" lifestyle, this combination of food would not be surprising for him to eat because it was loaded with protein, healthy fat, and the bread (in keeping with that image) was probably a multi-grain. Consuming fats with high protein is important to feel the satisfaction of being full when not taking in a lot of carbs. Also, tabasco sauce - because of its hotness - ups the metabolism. I know about this as my grown sons, and myself on a smaller scale, eat this way. Had the scene fully played out, he probably would not have mixed the tuna with the other stuff, but rather drained it and added the tabasco sauce to flavor it, and eaten it separate from the sandwich. I have to admit though, even if eaten separately, the thought of all of that combining in my tummy makes me feel a bit quizy. LOL
