Help! I'm looking for two stories:

1. Justin breaks up with Brian (for Ethan?) and ends up living out on his own. He works several jobs and lives in a crap apartment. The one scene that stands out is that Brian takes some clients out to the restaurant, Justin tries to hide in the back not to get seen. The waiting staff helps hides Justin.

2. Honestly, I only remember one line of it. Brian tells someone that Justin makes more money than Brian from his paintings.

Thanks in advance!

I think the first one is New Year by Rizabeau:

I think the second one might be Growing Up Kinney by Myrna.

I was just logging on to say the same thing armandyouidiot said: I think, also, that it's "Growing Up Kinney." I can't remember which chapter, but it's definitely there when Gus is whining to Brian that Justin live off of him.

Later!

Somewhere in the middle. Brian tells Gus that in a slow year for Justin, he could out-earn Brian and then some. It was after Gus flipped out on Justin, I think. Because it seems that Brian tells Gus that when Gus says something about how Justin just stays at home and does nothing while Brian works all the time.

This one has Brian reprimending Gus for not respecting Justin after he says that Justin doesnt have a real job. Brian also tells him that Justin's paintings are worth much more than he ever makes.
A bit angst-y in the beginning but it's a happy ending.
