Emmett's age?

Does anyone know how old Emmett is? I don't recall it ever being mentioned in the series. I figure Lindsay and Melanie are the same age as Brian. I'm only basing that on the fact that Brian and Lindsay became friends in college. Everyone else's age is mentioned in one way or another.

ETA: I think it's most probable from the responses that Emmett is most likely 27-28 in Season 1.

I want to say that Emmett is at least a year or two younger than Brian and Michael. Maybe something was mentioned in the episode when Michael turned 30 or the episode when Brian turned 30. IDK. It's been so long since I've watched that I'm fuzzy on some of the smaller facts.

yeah, that's what I'm thinking too; I remember them talking about Emmett being the youngest until Justin came along,

I don't remember it being mentioned but I always thought that Emmett was the youngest of the four friends. Although I have to say that prior to the episode about Michael's birthday party, I thought he was the youngest.

That's what I was thinking too. I don't remember anything mentioned in the series about his age or his birthday.

It was never specifically said, but for some reason in my head, I pegged Emmett at being like about 27 when we first meet him. I don't know why. It just seemed to fit. A few years younger than Brian and Michael, a few years older than Justin.

Yeah, I had always figured Michael to be the youngest of the four until after the episode with Michael's birthday; then I figured that Emmett must be the youngest. And I knew he had to be closer to Brian's age than Justin's age. I think you're right, he's probably about 27, maybe 28 in season 1. I thought it was strange though how they made a point of giving the ages of the other men (even Vic), but not Emmett. I thought maybe I had missed it somewhere along the way. You know... maybe it was mentioned by someone while B/J were making out or something and I just didn't notice it. *big grin* They could be very distracting.

I've always thought of Emmett as being a bit younger that that, maybe like 24ish when the show started. He's just as vain as Brian is about his youth and I think if he turned 30 during the show some type of acknowledgement would have been given to it, either by him or the others teasing him. If he left home right when he turned 18 and ended up in pittsburgh, he would have been there about 6 years at the start of season one. Thats a fairly large amount of time to have met and lived with Godiva and subsequently Michael. Plus his immaturity about finances and inconsistency with employment feels more accurate for someone a bit younger (although it could also have just been Emmett's flakiness :)) I know Peter Paige was older, and so Emmett of course looks older too. But I'm gonna stick with 24ish. It works for me :). Younger that the original group, but still considerably older than Justin too.
