I remember reading a fic a long time ago where Brian and Michael were seniors in college, Justin is a sophomore and had to come live with them. Brian and Justin didn't hit it off right away but soon became friends. Justin and Chris were boyfriends in high school but Chris ended up hurting Justin, at some point there was a student gathering and Brian meets Chris, he recognizes him immediately and, unable to control his temper, he hits him.

There was something about Justin watching VH1 and getting Brian to watch it with him and I think the author might be inner_justin.
