This is an awesome comm where they're getting a bunch of celebs... more every day... to agree to record personalized voice messages (or videos, or in the case of Nia Vardalos apparently a phone call! lol) that will be auctioned to fans to raise $ for Japan! Scroll down and there's a list of those that have confirmed. Some pretty big names in there already, including Mark Ruffalo, Kristen Bell, Imogen Heap, Eliza Dushku, Kyan from "Queer Eye," many more!

And from QAF-land, Scott Lowell!
MEGA-UPDATE: In addition to Scotty, we now also have Peter Paige, Michelle Clunie, and... *drumroll*... Randy Harrison!!!

I think the auction should be starting in the next few days, so I encourage everyone to check it out, let others know, and come bid! Thanks! :)

This is really amazing. I would like to direct non-fandom people to the comm, but I have to admit, just going to the comm, if I hadn't seen this post in getithere, and if I wasn't already familiar with fandom and this sort of donation bidding, I would be completely lost looking at the comm. If there's a way you can make a sticky post to that comm that's as crystal clear as your explanation is here, I would happily direct lots of folks who'd be likely to participate, but I do not want to direct them to getithere... for several reasons!

Let me know your thoughts.
