Hi all - does anyone know what happened to discothequey ?? I was REALLY shocked today when I checked her page to see if she had updated anyone of her fics recently and the journal is just DELETED!

Edit: Tegan is doing just fine! She's taking a mini-LJ break for a work-related reason but will be back. And we'll be impatiently awaiting her return!

maybe she relocated to TQL or another site? Its always a bummer when someone leaves without letting the rest of us know. She wrote some great stories and will be missed.

She had an account over at Dreamwidth under the same user name, but it hasn't been updated since mid-2009 so the most recent updates to her Particles and Branches series aren't there.

I was very surprised when I noticed her journal gone. (I'd sent her a PM a couple of days ago asking if she was okay, just because she hadn't updated in a month or so.)

I was extra worried when I saw that her Facebook page seems to have gone away, too.

Then kinwad looked and told me all her stories are gone from AO3 :( And I cried.

I'm puzzled and depressed.

I simply adored her fics & she seemed very happy when she updated last (it was the fic with baby Colin, I can;t remember the name Im so sad) so something happened & like you Im very sad.

This is so depressing. I was just thinking the other day about how her Branches series is my favorite QaF fic of all time, and now it may never be finished or available for re-reading ever again. T.T

Wow, what a bad news to start the day with!! She is the first author that I 've read when I came in this fandom. Particles ans Something beautiful are one of my all time favotite stories.I have read them 2-3 times. I really hope that she is OK.

This is really depressing. Discothequey is a brilliant writer. Her Lost fic and Branches are two of my favorite BJ stories. Does anyone have a copy of either of them or know where I could find them? It's sad to think that they're gone now.

This just completely sucks. :( But I somehow had a feeling something wasn't right since she hadn't updated in forever. I REALLY hope she's just done with the fandom and writing and that nothing has happened to her or anyone in her family. I know she had some health issues herself and a family member as well, so I sincerely hope everything is okay! It's horribly sad to see her go, she was my favorite writer hands down and I was so looking forward to more Branches, and her other stuff as well.

This is truly a sad day. :'(

How sad, another good author is gone from LJ. I really like her Branches and the IM Sessions and also Something beautiful. Maybe she is gone just temporary, like buckeye5 was a while ago. But it would be good to know if she is OK and if she is coming back in the future.

I really hope that there is someone out there that actually knows her personally or can contact her to see how things are. I want to say that she was having some health issues at one point, but then again I may have confused her with someone else. (A lot of my f-list has been sick lately. :( So...I can see how I can easily get confused on who has what...)

It's just so weird that everything has vanished and no explanation. So many lately have deleted their journals (granted several came back shortly later), it's sort of scary when so many are left questioning why. For now though, I just have to hope that everything is okay, and while I will miss her wonderful work, I praying that she's fine and just needing to step away.

Oh, no! I hope somebody finds out what happened/is happening and that everything is okay. :( She, too, is one of my favorite authors and I was, in fact, re-reading something of hers just yesterday to see it gone this morning.

It makes me really sad when people just up and delete, especially without explanation. Here's hoping that is is all just temporary and she'll be back one of these days. It would be a damn shame otherwise.

I don't think anyone knew her personally.
Tegan was a very private person and the privacy of her family always seemed very important to her.

When I saw her LJ was deleted, I wasn't *that* surprised, since she announced several months ago, that she might not use LJ anymore and will use AO3 in future.
But when I saw that all of her works were deleted there as well, I knew this was serious.
Let's hope that she and her family are well.

Same here. I am really shocked and hope that she is OK. She and quite a few who had left or disappeared from the fandom really makes me so sad. I still faithfully look for new fanfic or wip fanfic updates, but the numbers seem to be declining each day. And at the same time, I am very grateful for the past and present QAF fanfic writers who had provided and some are still providing me with many hours of laughs and tears.
