Brian leaves Justin for someone else

I am looking for a fic where Brian now lives in NY and moves Justin there.  He then has an affair with his partner (Steve, maybe?) and leaves Justin.  Justin is devastated and decided to go to Dartmouth and he meets someone named Tyler?

That is "The Other Foot" series by Simon. I think. I only got a little ways into that series before I realized it wasn't for me.

What you are looking for is Mouse's fic 'One Foot in Front of the Other' which is actually a different take on Simon's series 'The Other Foot'. Simon has given a few people (myself included) permission to write a variation on her series. You can find Mouse's fic here:
