What I remember:

Justin has a rich grandfather (who had no idea what's been happening) and had a company, Taylor Insurance? Brian didn't realise Justin was of those Taylors. Justin gets a new car.

I just checked the Holiday: Christmas tags to see if it was in there, but it wasn't. I remember this fic, though. Really well, which surprises me. lol Maybe these extra details will jog someone's memory.

I remember it's set at Christmas. Justin overhears his mom and her sister talking about an upcoming Christmas trip. Something is said about Justin making the rest of the family uncomfortable now. So Justin invents an illness so he doesn't have to go on the trip.

I *think* this is the same fic where Brian always tells everyone he goes to a resort for the holiday but really stays at his office. He comes home to the loft and finds Justin.

Then Jen finds out Justin's lied and why, his granddad and new wife have returned from a long trip, and so all of Justin's relatives descend on the loft and Justin's granddad convinces Brian to host a dinner for Justin's relatives and all the Liberty Avenue family. He gives Justin a car. And there's something about a shitty cousin and a model train.

I just did a fast read of Jingle all the way and found this:

"It's expensive Justin, but..." Brian looked at the forms and other papers. "The SUV's been licensed already so it's insured. You grandfather either put you on his policy or your mother's. Unless he put it in you name." Brian looked at the papers again. "The title is in your name."

"Grandpa must have done it. He knows all about insurance. He use to own an insurance company until he retired."

Brian looked at Justin. "Your grandfather was Taylor Insurance of Pittsburg?"


Justin did get a car (suv) for Christmas in this fic, so I don't know...
