The first fic that came to my mind is Irina's 'Assignment' and its sequel 'Away from the Sun', where Brian and Justin are CIA agents. It's been a while since I've read them, so I hope they are close enough to what you're looking for.

Hmm, I don't think it was. I didn't actually read it again, just checked the last chapter and it doesn't appear to be a 'final' chapter. So my guess is it's an abandoned WIP.
