I thought of another one! Not sure if its what you are looking for but Justin goes to Italy to study and Brian gets sick but doesn't tell anyone. Ethan is in it briefly and Brian and Claire make nice.

In Xie's Only Time Series, Directions, Justin is offered a special internship in London to showcase create and showcase his art in Europe. Brian and him visit constantly, I believe, and they continue their relationship throughour Justing trip.
