So I know that CowLip's timeline got extremely wonky and pretty much impossible to follow after season 2, but I was wondering if anyone knows what month it was supposed to be when Season 5 ended.

FOUND! March/April, in most opinions. A timeline can be found in the comments.

Well since B&J's commitment ceremony was supposed to be April 13 (17?) I would say mid-April.

I put together a timeline (http://home.comcast.net/~dhrachth/timeline.xls). On all the conflicting things I had to just make my best guess on which to ignore to make things fit. Other people have made different judgment calls on which is the important thing and came up with totally different timelines.

I figure the last eps took place somewhere around March/April. One simple way to figure is that Gay Mardi Gras in Sydney is in February, so Brian's trip & the bombing had to be in February. Figure a few weeks to a couple months after that to buy the house, propose, plan the wedding, etc.

April was the wedding, but a recent interview with CowLip says that the literal end of the season/series (where Brian is dancing at Babylon) takes place a few months later, after Babylon has been rebuilt. So the actual "end" could be June or July, maybe.

According to Wikipedia Mardi Gras in Sydney is in late January and could run into the first week of February. The date for the benefit was given on the poster - March 18. 2005; they also gave the week day, but that didn't fit with the actual day they date fell on. The date on the invitation were April 16. for the ceremony and April 1. for the RSVP. (Pretty quick to book a wedding at Fallingwater, where you have to book group tours at least a month in advance....)

I wrote up my view on the timeline a while ago, you can read it here: http://darla-isabelle.livejournal.com/1792.html#cutid1. (It's pretty long.)
