death fic

i read this story divergence in which brian got a secondary cancer as a result of the radiation treatment except in it brian almost dies but survive ,because of it ,i feel like reading a death fic specifically brian death fic.could someone recomend one,i  like it to be canon set post series it could also be au .i like the cancer to come back or some other cancer .or it could be something else,i would like brian to suffer for along time atleat a year .brian and justin must be together through this.i would like brian to fight the disease untill he finally loses the battle ,in other word i dont him baying a ticket to ebitha as soon as he finds out he is sick. ho its important that the fic deals with brians road to his death.that is it should not begin at his death.

great recs in the comment.keep them comming.

Divergence (http://ragingpixie.livejournal.com/293002.html) is one of the best fics I've ever read.

This isn't exactly what you requested (not cancer, and not a drawn out death) but it is about Brian. I haven't found all that many of them so I decided to write my own. *g* It starts here if you're interested (http://q-dicted.livejournal.com/1942.html) (Sorry if it's gauche to link your own stuff *blush*)

If you want some general death!fics, I made a similar request a while back and got a lot of responses. They're all listed here (http://community.livejournal.com/getithere/939625.html) but most of them involve Justin.

Can you please share the link for "Divergence"? Thanks a lot, Y

Sorry, I missed it. Thanks!

Ah, okay (and thanks!) I did add another chapter just this week.

I read the first 3 parts of Valediction when you posted it a few weeks back and I thought it was amazing. It actually made me cry as I read the end even though I knew what was coming. I was still thinking back to it days later. Although the story itself was very sad it was beautifully written. I was waiting for an update when I saw you said you would do an epilogue so thanks for deciding to continue it.

Thank you! I know death!fic isn't for everyone but I am a sucker for a sad story. I really can't think of anything sadder than Brian dying. *sob* I hope you like the update.

(Sorry to hi-jack the thread)

It isn't a long one but Brian does die at the end of a cancer battle where the cancer came back years later.

The Seven Stages of Brian and Gus (http://www.randalls-fiction.com/fiction/seven.php) by Randall. It's seventh stage so scroll down for the death, although the whole fic is great. I just reread it and I'm crying over it again.

OMG I cried & cried & cried, after I read that fic:(:(

Jesus I've never read a death fic since.

It truly depressed me for weeks,,Ouch!! as if you'd read them on purpose:)

Actually, I do read them on purpose. Sometimes I'm in the mood to have a really good cry and because I love Brian, these kinds of fics will do it. Reading them remind me of how much I do love him and then I appreciate him more. :)

Laurie...I agree with you and loved divergence and TSSOBAG too-Randall is a brilliant writer.

I agree. I especially liked that one because they got to have a long time together before the end came. I also love Randall's stuff, I read him over and over again, LOL.

Laurie, did you read [livejournal.com profile] q_dicted's story? It's the most beautiful thing ever, death!fic or not. I couldn't stop thinking about it after I was done.

I don't know why, but sometimes I'm weirdly drawn to them too, but they have to be done well.

*Hugs*
Amy

Thank you so much, Amy. *hugs back* I think it's one of those things you need to be in the mood to read. And then have a nice, hot & porny B/J fic to fall back on once you're done crying.

I just read this, at least what she has posted and I'm sobbing my eyes out. It's an amazing fic and she has some serious talent.
