I am so glad I asked now I know what to do when my space bar breaks. Cheers and I hope you get a working bar soon.

I was SO wondering!! I had to double check the name, cause I was all "HUH??"

When you get to a puter with a space bar, remember to add your post title. (I figure you didn't because of the problem). Don't worry about responding, I'm sure it's a pain. lol

Do you have an on-screen keyboard? Most laptops do, if you're using one, or most PCs too for that matter. Where ever the 'ease of access' stuff on your computer is, there it will be. You'll have to click on the space bar on that. It sucks, but hey, it's better than nothing. :P I once had a computer that lost it's 'J' key. Mighty hard to write QaF fics without that... poor ustin! lolz. But yeah. You should have one, if you're interested. Or something. :)

I'd never heard of an on-screen keyboard before so I went to look. I use Windows XP and found it in the Control Panel, Accessibility Options. When the A.O. screen comes up, on the left side is on-screen keyboard. who knew?

i'm trying the keyboard now. cool. you can type by clicking the keys and spacebar, etc., or you can use your own keyboard to type and then mouse to the onscreen spacebar. kinda awkward. not sure that it's any more efficient than the periods you're using now. still good to know, though.

Do you get the keyboard free from Dell via warranty or something? I ditched my corded keyboard after some months and got a wireless one at Target or somewhere. Seems they only last a finite amount of time - one to two years at most and then you just have to replace them, but I go back to Target or somewhere convenient. Hope yours arrives soon!
