I know that fic, but can't recall who did it. I thought it was Kimberley, but I didn't see it at Moonshadow Tribe. I know I have it bookmarked at BJFic.

Oh, I think we gave you the wrong fics. But I'd still encourage you to read Kimberley's trilogy. There is a shooting in Rage Over Hollywood, but there are two other fics that come to mind about your request.

In one, and this is one I think you mean, Justin's at Brett's and there is a shooting. He gets pushed over a porch railing and is wearing someone's jacket and that person's ID is in the pocket and he's unconscious so nobody knows it's Justin in the hospital and not some blond kid in the morgue. Brian & Michael go out to LA to check the morgue. I know I've got it bookmarked; lemme hunt around some.

There's another one with a party at Brett's and I don't remember if there was a shooting, but something happened and Justin rescued some guy. Oh, no, this one is an out-of-control orgy and Justin rescues a hustler because of a kind of flashback to the Sap's party only the hustler didn't want to be rescued. He takes him to the hospital and then to breakfast, but I don't remember any more. No shooting in this one, though.

Yep, me, too. And they're in a fight, right, and Brian's getting info from the doc until Justin wakes up and then Justin tells him to get out so Brian gets Justin and Michael a hotel room and he stays down the hall. Justin has a big nightmare and Brian comes to their room. I don't remember the rest. Now who in the hell wrote it? I'm gonna feel like an idiot when we find out. And I'm just sure I've got a bookmark, too, but damned if I can find it. The curse of the disorganized files!

Um guys? That is Kimberley's Going or Staying, the one before Rage Over Hollywood. I'm reading it right now. Brett pushes Justin out of the way and he falls off the balcony, and he's wearing someone else's jacket so they think he's someone else.

lol Well, I knew I'd feel silly when I found out who it was!

My first thought was that it was Kimberley's but then all I could remember were the protesters and anonymous phone calls and then the security guard dying, so I thought it was a different fic where Justin falls over the porch railing. ;)

(And I guess it was, technically, a different fic since it's Going or Staying and not Rage Over Hollywood.) I haven't read these in awhile so maybe this will be my weekend fic. Thanks for straightening us out!
