Novotnys live in NYC

I've got a scenario in my head, but I can't remember in which fic to find it. I think it's an AU in which Justin meets Brian a few years later than canon.

The scenario I remember is that Michael and Deb live in NYC. They moved there because Vic owned a restaurant and needed help keeping it running when he got sick. When Brian introduces his new boyfriend, Justin, to the Grassi-Novotny clan, Michael gets jealous (big surprise) and blames his family for moving him away from Brian and thus blowing his chance with him.

I also seem to think that Brian's career is something other than advertising, but I don't want to speculate what it was because I could be mixing up this fic with another.

That sounds like 'Queer As Murder' by Shannon Marie. Brian's a detective instead of in advertising and Justin runs a gallery. They meet when Brian investigates the murder of Molly's boyfriend, I think.

Is that a completed story do you know? Or if a WIP is it updated regularly? Thanks for any help.

It's been awhile since I read it, but if I recall correctly, it's incomplete. Although I believe the main plot line was completed, it still had some issues left unanswered and it could be the author intended to leave it the way it ended. It is a very good story even though it feels incomplete.
