I just read the story and I really loved it! Beautifully written and very touching. I like that Brian grew from his experience with the cancer,and in his relationship with Justin in ways he didn't in canon. I also like that he said he loved Justin at that time instead of the way it happened in canon. It would have made sense for Brian to have to work to get Justin back after all that,and for him to realize that he loved him-or rather,admit it, because I know he did love him before that :)
