well well, i thought this was were we came to look for recs about stories we cant find or would like to read. Not for others to put down what is being looked for. I think is HIGHLY hypocritical for ANYONE to come to a fiction site and critique people for wanting to read FICTION. I am not sure what show some people have been watching but QAF is not about promiscuous men. It is about relationships that gay men have, from their friends to their lovers and and their families. No one on that show was "untied". Furthermore I do not think it is ok for you people to force their ignorant views on subjects; to say that a man isn't as maternal (paternal)as a woman is just ghastly and is spoken with true ignorance in every sense of the word. Men have just a special and worldly bond with their children as women do- sometimes even more, and i agree with galeandrandy 100% there are plenty of males gay AND straight who have thoughts about being pregnant. Also i think it is just outrageous to say that straight couples and homosexuals have nothing in common. I really wish people would think before they "write" in this case and stop spreading their dunce ideas and opinions. (especially when you're not from the correct sex or sexuality to make such assumptions).

1) I didn't criticize anyone for writing or reading mpreg. I just asked why they read and write it. What's wrong with being curious?

Huh? Brian Kinney isn't promiscuous? Emmett isn't promiscuous? 30% (correct me if you have more accurate statistics) of qaf scenes weren't shot in a gay dance/sex club? "It's (not) all about sex" ? I know that the focus of the show isn't entirely on it, but you can't say it's not about promiscuous men. It's like saying that Postman Pat isn't about a guy who has a cat and drives a red truck. (:

I agree with everything 'the virago84' said. What you wrote rinmonsterer was offensive so maybe you should read what you wrote again before you go being rude to people. This is meant to be a post about helping to find stories not about your oppinions and you putting others down so for all our sakes lets just move on and help people find the fics they want.

I dont have a lj. You are so rude, have you read the way you reply to other peoples posts. You have turned this persons post of asking for fics into a big post about you replying to others posts, you are unbelieveable. Just move on and stop wasting this persons time when you dont have any fics to contribute to them.

And for the future, if something like this happens again, feel free to tell me about it. What really sucks about anonymous comments is that my replying to them won't even do anything, cuz unless they have this entry tracked (which I'm not really sure is possible in the first place) they won't know.

I think it is outrageous how you keep indirectly quoting ideas that weren't stated here, and then insult people who haven't said them. Nobody said heterosexual and homosexual couples had nothing in common. If you claim that they're identical, then... you're wrong.

It is very sad that you are still on this. I am far from angry, but it seems you think that people who don't agree with you are in the wrong somehow. Unlike you, i have better things to do than sit here and talk about the finer things about the real world with you. Obviously you are not living it. You are a self righteous creature who thinks they know it all and take great pleasure of putting people down. This will be the only message you will be getting back from me so treasure it. The only reason i commented in the first place is because you went beyond the point of curiosity when you started to attack others points of views and the way the choose to see things. If you cannot see how you were wrong in this situation, that is totally on you. I have never bent to bully's and i will not start now. Yea, I have some free time on my hands, but at least I'm using it on discussion, you're just looking for a fight and to pretend you're some messiah who came to defend some imaginary victims, none of which, for the record, once gain, were attacked here. You know, even if this was the place for a discussion like this, and even if there was such a thing as being 100% right in the issues discussed here, and even if you happened to 100% right in all of them, I still can't imagine anyone would appreciate your tone. You obviously feel very strongly about all of this, which you have every right to do, of course, and yet, I'd appreciate some basics in all the comments here (be it you or others), like being polite and not attacking people. I don't want to define the point when exactly an opinion turns into flaming. And yes, I'm not too fond of having big discussions in the comments to posts, but it happens. As long as people respect that others have different opinions without putting them down for them, it's all good.
