hum. Maybe it's not so much accepted, as tolerated. (plz ignore that those words mean the same thing, it's late here, lol. use 'endure' ?) For some reason this fandom isn't too confrontational. I noticed that trying to discuss touchy subjects could be hard around here :D Things like Mikey hate are usually griped about in private posts, in public they're just ignored because, duh, you won't make anyone like Mikey and they might end up, like, creating some super secret community to pass anti-Michael fics under the table, and then - how will you know which fics to avoid? :D
But I don't know, in final fantasy fandom, for one, there's pretty much character bashing - especially of the female ones by girls writing yaoi slash :D It's frowned upon too, by the more grown-up authors, but well, what can you do about it except ignore it?
And I am not offended by mpreg, argh. I really don't lose sleep about it, I just... don't read it and was curious why others do :D
