I was recently turned on to an AU fic set in Medieval times and it's become one of my favorite AU's. It's All That Remains by lastglances. To be honest, I didn't think I'd be interested in it when I started reading but I found myself caught up in it and couldn't stop reading.
There's also The Abernathy Trilogy where Brian's a lord and Justin becomes his slave. Another one of my very favorite AU's. It's here http://deadfic.livejournal.com/17028.html#cutid1 at the deadfic LJ. It's long but worth the time spent reading it.
