Think it's set in the future...

Brian and Justin are not together. Justin lives in NY, Brian is still in Pittsburgh. Brian's cancer has returned and he either moves to NY or makes trips to NY for treatment at a special clinic. I remember something about the clinic gives patients a special watch. There is also a young woman who lives in the same building as Justin and is another patient of the clinic. She has a little girl and Justin is always checking up on them. I'm not sure but I think Justin ends up as the little girl's guardian. There is also a scene between Justin and Adam Lyons, the guy from Kennedy & Collins in the first season, after Adam finds out and threatens to spread the word that Brian has cancer.

I could be mixing up two stories. Any help would be great.
