having a brain freeze trying to find this fic so help please!!

its post 513/future fic - all or most of the gang is in toronto for xmas, bri/jus have kind of lost touch or something? anyway justin arrives with a friend who is carrying his baby but she is dying? i think brian or ben end up delivering the baby in mel and linds place and there is some kind of neighbourhood competition with the holiday decorations... ringing any bells?

i KNOW i know this fic but having a total mental block!  so frustrated right now

The girl's name is Sam and in one scene she sings a Joni Mitchell song. 'River' I think. ...Now that I know!! *grmbl*

I'm 99% certain that I've read it on Midnight Whispers a few months ago. But it was the old site so it might not be up (yet?!) at the new page.

yeah the girls name is samantha - so glad someone else recognised the description because i thought i was going crazy!

i remember them all going out to babylon and i think she and linds? drunkenly sing a song from Rent...take me out? (maybe that's a different fic - not sure)

I'm not sure about the Babylon & 'Rent' part (Do they go to Pittsburgh after Toronto?), but I am pretty sure about 'River' now as I just remembered how I was having a mad earworm after reading it. =D
I think Sam sings it for Brian and Justin who are not together at the point and Brian storms out while she's on stage or something like that.

Oh but I totally agree with everything else you listed to describe the story - Christmas in Toronto, the decorations competition, Sam dying but not telling anyone (but I think Brian knows somehow?), Brian (!) delivering the baby while everyone else is gone somewhere,...

omg yes... sam does sing that in the bar in toronto forgot about that! and yeah i think they go to pittsburgh really soon after the baby is born...i think the babylon night was the 'last night out' for sam.
