Brian but not Justin - fics

I'm wondering if anyone can direct me to "Justin-free" stories about Brian. By Justin-free I mean stories in which Justin doesn't play any active role: not even as a memory. In addition, Brian mustn't be in a romantic relationship with Michael. Are there such stories around?

Thank you! The links are in the comments.

As far as I know there aren't any where Justin just *wasn't*, but there are few where they don't stay together. I don't have any interest in them so don't have links, but Arwensong at the Tribe (google mags-nificent+qaf and you can find the link) has a long series where Brian is with someone else and Big Brian O has two very long fics where Brian is with someone else.

Arwensong's series is "Better Friends And Lovers", and it's wonderful!!!!

There's also a "sequel" of sorts called "Interludes".

Enjoy!

There are several stories by Big_Brian_O - Swamp fever and Burn.

Simon on Moonshadow Tribe wrote "The Other Foot" series where Brian is in a serious relationship with someone else. Justin is still there in the background so I don't know if he's absent enough for you. "Better Friends and Lovers" is the name of Arwensong's series. This is very close to a totally Justin-free story which is why I didn't like it much.

"Creekside Canyon"

Paul Plesko had a series of stories about Brian in
college. I don't know if they are still on the web,
but they are out there.

There are, but why would you want to read them?

Lol. For me, it's a bit difficult to imagine Brian without a Justin around somewhere.

But hey, wasn't one of those official queer as folk novels written about the time Brian and Michael were in college? It's not really fan fiction but maybe it's good. It was a refreshing request to see here on getithere dekada =)

It is mentioned a few times in the show (and it's in the novels) that Michael went to community college for a couple of semesters but dropped out. It's probably one reason he's so insecure.

(I find it hard to believe Michael would stop hanging around Brian for four entire years though. He must still have been around a lot.)

Brian is more than his appearance in Justin/Brian or Michael/Brian romance. Oh, he most definitely is (not to mention that B/M will never, did never and could never happen). But Brian would also tell you that you're wrong if you don't think Justin made his life better. At least 'my' Brian would tell you that lol

The story mentioned above, by Paul Plesko about Brian in college is called "Prometheus Unbound." It's here: http://www.squidge.org/~pplesko/stories/prometheusunbound.html

It precedes the "Requiem" series. Justin's in that one, but it's really about Brian.

There's also a stand alone called "White Party '99" about Brian's first visit to the White Party, pre-Justin.
