Novel References

I read the three official QAF novels that give the Brian & Mikey back story last week. Although far from perfect, they weren't bad. I was wondering if there are any fics where characters from the novels make a reappearance. If you haven't read the books, some names that might come up are:

Book 1: Gary Palmer, the gym teacher.
Book 2: Jason Lauren, Brian's college pal.
Book 3: Evan Steele, Brian's boss at his first advertising job.

Tell me what the books are, please? I've never read full length QAF

The "novels" (and I use that term loosely) are not canon.
From what I've heard CowLip disavows them and the actors
hate them (they have refused to autograph them in the past).
I also have never read a single fic that referenced anything
in any of the books, which tells me more than anything that
they aren't really "QAF" -- unless there are B/M-shippers
somewhere who are incorporating them into fics -- B&J writers
certainly are not, since almost everything in the books is
contradicted by material in the shows.

I have to say I purchases and read all 3 of the QAF books during the run of QAF and they were to first QAF fic stuff I read. I started reading QAF fan fic after those 3 books so I have to say they pulled me into QAF fan fic.

I thought just as most fics, they were good to give some background even is not truly so for the show. But then again all the fan fics we read every day is not true to the background of the show but just an idea of how it might have been. Does that make sense?

I still remember the meeting between Jennifer/Justin/Brian when Justin was a little boy and Justin's bear called "GUS" the way I feel about the books is this. they were my pull into QAF fan fic and unlike all of us QAF fan fic writers, THE ONES WHO WROTE AND PUBLISHED THOSE 3 BOOKS ACTUALLY MADE MONEY DOING IT!!!!! Who would have thought it!!!!! LOL

I read they books and thought they were fun. It was just like reading any other piece of fanfiction, you either liked it or you didn't. CowLip's opinion never mattered to me. It's all for fun, right?

Anyway, I know I recently read a fic with Evan Steele coming back to get revenge on Brian and dragging Justin into it. It was a WIP, I think. I'll have to go look for it for you.

I can't say as I've read anything that had Jason Lauren in it.
