Period stories

I'm looking for fics from the past. Pirates, cowboys, Roman soldiers, anything that would be considered a "period piece". I've read The Abernathy Trilogy, Edge of the World, Brian!Gangster boss, and most of the usually recommended stories. Anything new or really different out there?

Have you read 'All That Remains' by lastglances? it's a B/J story set in the Crusades, absolutely STUNNING. http://community.livejournal.com/my_weakest_hold/4957.html
And she's currently writing a B/J story set in the Roman Empire for NaNoWriMo, which will be posted in bjfic in January, and it's just gorgeous as well.
