two stories: Justin-ghost and JR in Hebrew school

1. About a hundred years ago (okay, it was a couple of years ago, but time flies now that I'm getting old) I was looking for a story that was never found. Gonna try again, with my fingers crossed this time. I only recall bits and pieces - I think it's kind of a Justin/ghost story; the pivotal scene for me was Brian talking to Ben (I believe), and Ben somehow telling Brian about a young man who had been bashed at prom - news clippings, photos, etc., I think - and Brian realized that it was Justin. I swear I read this somewhere, I believe it was on Moonshadow Tribe website, because I just get this impression that the background was black. I could be wrong about that part.

Please, please, please, if anyone knows this story, let me know I'm not just a crazy read-way-too-much-QAF-fanfic-brain-addled old gal.

2. The second story is a more recent one, Ithink. Mel threatens to cut everyone out of JR's life and put her in Hebrew school. I think she also had a drinking problem.

Found #2. Well, actually, I remembered the story. It's I Am Not My Father by Rainbow_Roses. It's a WIP on hiatus, but it is deliciously long, at over 360,000 words and counting.
