J says "I love you too, Brian" at seemingly odd times

Think this was a one-shot or short story, I'm pretty sure. Think there was an old friend of Brian's hanging around, hearing J keep saying "Love you too, Brian", even though Brian had not said the words. It was cutely done if I remember correctly, and J was hearing Brian's professions of love when he said things like "take your allergy medicine". Hope someone else recalls this. Thanks, all.
