Brian is best friends with Justin’s Older brother

Hi -
1. I’m looking for a story where Justin and Brian are teens and Brian is best friends with Justin’s older brother. Justin and his brother live with Jen - no craig involved. I do think it may have been part of a series

2. I’m still also looking for a story where Brian gets custody of Gus. At some point Lindsey basically agrees to give over or concede Gus’ custody in exchange for Brian paying off their house. I think there is some concern that Brian started paying Gus’ school tuition directly and so Mel and Lindsey couldn’t afford the house payments anymore

Brian Rescues Cynthia

Unfortunately, I only remember this one part of this story...

Cynthia - Brian's asst, was abused as a young girl. She was kept in a very small, dark space. She was starved and never cleaned. Brian happened to see her through a dirty window, when he was a young boy. He went to this place - got a job as an errand boy, and ended up rescuing her, He was in bad shape too from a beating, yet he carried her on his back to this old black womans place. She cleaned Cynthia up, and Brian worked with Cynthia to help her learn how to hold silverware to eat.
