Hello everyone,

I am looking for a fic, obviously, of which I have no memories, except a "scene".

Here is the scene in question: Ben and Michael are partying at their home, in the garden in fact, with friends but also colleagues and others (maybe neighbors). The band (or maybe just Brian and Justin, i'm not sure) is there, of course, but they feel a bit neglected: neither Mikey nor Ben speak with them, they hardly said hello. Michael is trying to be an 'educated well connected and grown' man, but is just snob.

Then a couple (straight) comes over to talk to them and they're nice and everything, except Michael told them lies about Justin and Brian so the conversation is weird like:

- Oh Justin, Michael told me that you are an artist and if you want I can introduce you to my art teacher friend who is looking for an assistant?
- Thank you, but I'm quite busy with my exhibitions.
- Okay ... Brian. It looks like you are advertising according to Michael. Myself, I teach in this branch. If you ever need a little help tell me.
- Oh thank you.
- Yeah, it's a tough world for a business. Not all, of course. My favorite is Kinnetik. It's amazing what they are able to do. Their boss, Brian Kinney is a genius ... your last name is Kinnet, right?
- Right.

Britin is not mad at the couple, they understand that Michael is misleading them and they keep talking to them. Brian even suggests to the man (who is a teacher) that he come and give a lecture in his class.
At the end, Michael joins them (this part is not clear in my mind), then Ben. And finally, the couple expresses to Ben their unease at having been treated like this (lied and manipulated). Brian and Justin then go home.

This is the only scene I can remember ... but I'm sure I loved this fic and would love to re-read it
